- 'The exhibition is composed of works that deal with fixed photographic light projection, ranging from slides to optical lanterns. This focus is connected to the curatorial and artistic investigations of the three organizers, highlighting nine artists active in Portugal from different generations and with distinct thematic approaches.
The exhibition addresses themes that range from questioning the normative function of optical devices to issues such as memory, archive, fabulation, performativity, and the obsolescence of devices. As such, the spectator’s experiences reflect a plurality of interpretations and readings offered by the artists, without a single, linear path.'(...)
