-'Curated by Sérgio Fazenda Rodrigues, "Küstenlinie (Linha de Costa)" revolves around the ideas of displacement, expansion, acculturation and independence, bringing together a critical reading of Portugal’s colonial past with the challenges of the present. By bringing together works by a group of Portuguese artists with international careers, the exhibition questions the construction of national identity and the ways in which history is represented, offering a perspective that is at once poetic and analytical on issues that continue to shape Portuguese reality. Presented within the context of an embassy, the exhibition also acquires a particular symbolic dimension, asserting art as a space for critical reflection, dialogue, and the defence of democratic values.'
