-'As we learn in childhood, in the game of jogo do sério (staring contest / deadpan game), we cannot smile, blink, or even look away. All of this is grounds for a fatal penalty: defeat. When two bodies face each other in the Jogo do Sério, the tension created between them is all too evident. There is no room for compromise.
In this curatorial project, the community is invited to suggest one or more objects that could act as game partners for the exhibited artwork.
