Mónica Capucho is an artist who shows an admirable cohesion in her pictorial proposal. In her work the poïesis – meaning the creative talent – is translated as painting. A painting enhanced by the other meanings brought along. These act as a load, a strength which goes, by far, beyond the linguistic expression. It goes beyond, through the gesture applied in the painting of each letter, in the thickness of paint that stands out against the surface, in the pigment chosen and in the intimate relation of the gathered linguistic and pictorial expressions (following the semiology terms).
